Hot Actress wants death for Kasab

Diet and fitness conscious Shilpa Shetty hogged so much at Japanese restaurant Wasabi that she ended up loosening her trademark belt that she wears to keep her waistline in check.

“Ah! Had the most amazing meal. Love Wasabi at the Taj. Definitely the best Japanese food in India. Had to loosen my belt, ate so much! 45 minutes cardio tomorrow!” Shilpa posted on her Twitter page Tuesday.

Wasabi, which is on the first floor of the Taj Mahal Palace in Mumbai, was among the many places which were gutted down during the 60-hour terror attacks Nov 26-28, 2008.

Ajmal Amir Kasab, the sole survivor of the 10 Pakistani terrorists who attacked Mumbai, was pronounced guilty Monday. The 34-year-old says Kasab must get nothing less than the death penalty.

“Regarding Kasab if he escapes death penalty, then we must abolish capital punishment… For what other crime would you say is worse? Seriously! What is his reason that he was brainwashed too young? There is no excuse for terrorism.

“But got to compliment the system for speeding the process and giving Kasab more than a fair trial despite all proof and evidence, ” wrote Shilpa.

After Rajneeti, Katrina Kaif to star in Prakash Jha’s next

Even before the release of the most awaited film Rajneeti, the promos it self is getting our Bollywood beauty Katrina Kaif is a lot of attention.

Prakash Jha isn’t waiting for the release of the film to show his faith in his leading lady. He has already signed Katrina Kaif for his next movie. The latest buzz is that, Jha has cast Kaif alongside Amitabh Bachchan and Ajay Devgan in his next project called Aarakshan.

The movie is believed to address the issues surrounding job reservation in India and is set against an academic dropout.

Bachchan plays a teacher, who has apparently been inspired by his late father Harivansh Rai Bachchan. It has been suggested that Kaif will play Big B’s daughter and that Devgn will play his favourite student.

Forget CGI gimmicks

Naagin Neytiri: Mallika Sherawat has already passed on to phase two. She’s already been assimilated into Hollywood. Turning Na’vi just seems to be icing on the cake.
Avatar director James Cameron was recently in India for a meet on films, trade and blah! But we assume the real reason behind his stay was to hire actors for a Bollywood sequel to one of the biggest movies ever made.

And forget CGI gimmicks! Crazy Cameron is actually planning on cultivating ‘Na’vi DNA’ and injecting them into the ones from Mumbai. Cameron was reportedly heard claiming that Avatar 2: Back to Pandora will actually involve human cloning – quite unlike Spileberg’s trick hens in Jurassic Park.

And to prove to the world we’re as serious as an invasion, our photographer has some photographs!

Ajith’s Name Added To Drivers List In Formula 2 Official Website

Thala Ajith’s name has been added to the 2010 Formula 2 Championship driver’s list in Formula 2’s official website.

Indian driver Ajith Kumar has become the 17th driver to confirm his place in the 2010 FIA Formula Two Championship line-up.

Kumar is a huge film star in his native country and a keen racing driver, having previously competed in both Asia and Europe. He made his racing debut in 2003, where he contesting selected rounds of the Formula BMW Asia series, and he scored a top six finish during his maiden campaign before moving to the UK in 2004 to compete in the hugely competitive British Formula 3 series. He contested ten races in the National class and scored two podium finishes.

Whilst acting has taken up the majority of Kumar’s time in recent years, he feels the time is right to return to racing as the sport continues to grow in his own country.

Ajith Kumar said: “I am really excited about racing in F2. I have a great regard for Jonathan Palmer – thanks to him and his efforts Formula Two is the next best thing to F1. Coming from India with a population of 2 billion, I want to take motor racing in this country to the common man. Right now, it is still a niche sport largely popular in the urban areas. Given my profile as a film star, I hope to use my status to popularise the sport in India.

“I have the confidence of achieving some success in this year’s FIA Formula Two Championship. I have already tested some other cars in Malaysia recently and am looking forward to more practice runs in the F2 car at Snetterton and Silverstone before the event kicks off. I hope my participation, along with Armaan Ebrahim and Parthiva Sureshwaran, will create the right amount of interest in the sport in India.”

F2 Series Director Jonathan Palmer said: “I am delighted to welcome Ajith to F2. To have a well known Indian film star who has demonstrated such ambition now racing in F2 is very exciting for the championship, and I really admire Ajith’s determination and enthusiasm. Paul Newman demonstrated that international celebrities can be competitive in international motorsport – and late in his career. Ajith on the other hand is several years younger than both Michael Schumacher and Rubens Barrichello. The F2 team and other drivers look forward to giving maximum support to help Ajith become increasingly competitive.”

Its indeed the time for Thala fans to feel proud, since our beloved Thala adds pride to our Indian Nation and Tamil Nadu by participating in world class championship car race.

Pradeep Rawat, the ruthless villain(s) in Ghajini , is reprising his ruthlessness in Asal! On a scale of 1 to 10 [10 being the worst], Pradeep insists his villainy and vile nature in Asal gets a full ten! “I am as bad as it gets! Worse if possible,” laughs Pradeep, who is not quite the villain in person! In fact, he will make you laugh two minutes into the conversation! Being such a fun guy in reality, doesn’t it bother him that people look at him like he is an insect that needs to be killed? “Not at all! In fact I love it! If people hate me because of the roles I play, it only spurs me on to do more such roles! Their hatred is the success of my role and my acting,” quips Pradeep.

So how great was it working on Aasal? “It has been a fabulous experience. I know no Tamil and I am not very sure about audience taste in the South. So when everyone who saw the rushes during dubbing told me the movie was fabulous, I was not sure whether to believe them! Everybody who went in for dubbing before me told me the movie was superb.

It seemed quite unnatural! But when my good friend and fellow Aasal villain RajivKrishna told me the same, I felt that there must be truth in it,” laughs Pradeep. “But I must say, I have had a wonderful time working in this movie. Ajith has been a fabulous colleague.

He is such a humble man, it’s quite hard to believe he is a super star! But his involvement with everything about the movie and the way he encouraged everybody to give their best, reminded me a great deal of Aamir Khan . I have worked in two movies with Aamir and he is one guy who will oversee everything in his movie. Ajith is exactly like that.”
And even before we could ask him about the producers, he began his praise. “I do not know much about producers here. But I know actor Sivaji Ganesan. There is nobody in India who does not know him. So the moment I heard that the producers were his sons, I was sure that the movie would be great.

Sivaji Productions indulged us and spoiled us! They treated all of us, the actors, the technicians, the assistants, everybody, like super stars! Even in the coldest places in France, they provided us with authentic Indian food! They did everything to make us happy!” Great movies and great food, that is their claim to fame after all!

A R Rahman is India’s pride. He has won two Oscars and now, two Grammy Awards, and in fact, almost won yet another Oscar! The man is on a roll in the global scene. And while he was busy rocking the world, back home Yuvan Shankar Raja stole his thunder!
Yuvan has been coming out with movie album after movie album that stunned us and filled our CD rack! He has a knack for creating numbers that appeal to all classes of audience and that is his biggest asset.
Turn on the radio and on at least two of the many available stations, at any given point of time , you will find yourself humming with a song by Yuvan! His rhythms and tunes are a cut above the rest of the musicians, vying to scale ARR’s heights. But his peace has been shattered with the re-entry of ARR’s music!
The two albums that are fighting it out right now are A.R. Rahman’s Vinnaithaandi Varuvaaya and Yuvan’s Paiyaa. While the former has a very international feel to it in terms of melody and instrumentation, Paiyaa caters to the average Tamil moviegoer. ‘Hosanna’ may transport you to another dimension but ‘Yen Kadhal Solla’ stabs love right into your heart! It’s a case of classic A.R. Rahman vs. classic Yuvan! And now that’s a tough contest! Who’s your choice?
